Ultrasound-guided percutaneous application of galvanic current and micro-current can improve the patient’s symptoms in many soft-tissue injuries. Two to three applications can decrease pain, reduce the scar tissue, produce collagen, improve the joint mobility and accelerate the return to activities. In TheMIS Orthopaedic Center this method has successfully been used since 2015 for treatment of acute and chronic tendinopathies (shoulder, epicondylitis, patellar etc), syndesmotic injuries (knee medial collateral ligament etc), and muscle strains.
